Welcome to Teignmouth Community Carnival 2026…
Another 8 days of Carnival fun for our whole community to enjoy!
This year there are a few changes and new additions to the much loved structure of the Carnival events. These include tribute acts that haven’t performed for the carnival before Elite Elton – Elton John, The Amazing Blues Brothers, and Be Here Now – Oasis tribute.
We have a cream tea afternoon, summer fete competitions including Carnival Bake off, art competition and a home grown contest! We’ve got a chance to share your singing talents singing along with a live musician playing guitar, think guitaraoke! There’s a Tug of War competition, a morning yoga session, and a free kids playzone to keep the little ones entertained!
And for the first time on Thursday’s procession night we have a laser show from our stage on The Den!
As well as all this there will also of course be a fantastic range of live music performances and DJs through the week, we’ve got Britpop, ska, 80s, electro, rock, motown, acapella, dance, shanties, choral, k-pop, northern soul, indie, and more!
The traditional services day, Bingo and Quiz night will take place, as well as arts and crafts activities, and a wide range of children’s entertainment, face painting, glitter and braids, and character walkabouts and photo ops!
The dog show, the children’s sports, dance demonstrations, charity stalls and so much more for you all to enjoy!
The Bapstist church will also once again be hosting the Sunday morning Carnival service.
So have a look through all the listings for the full run down of what’s going on, please do bare in mind to regularly check our social media and information boards for any additions or amendments that may be made.
The overall event is once again free although some additional activities, prize games etc do have a charge applied.

The misplaced item competition is completely free, so please take this opportunity to walk around our gem of a town and visit all the shops that take part.
This year there is also a free raffle voucher in this programme, take it to The Carnival Marquee on The Den by 7pm on Saturday 25th July to be entered into a raffle to win carnival bar vouchers to spend during the week!
We do also have to mention some of the serious bits…
The Carnival area of The Den will be fenced off throughout the event per Police and Council guidance.
Entrances will be controlled and bag searches made, so please do not bring in unnecessarily large bags.
There is a zero tolerance policy on any alcohol being brought into the Carnival area during the event.
We have a zero tolerance on drugs and challenge 25 will be in place at the bar.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
We encourage parents/carers etc of young children to use the free wristbands available to write a contact number on for children to wear.
Please respect that this is all in place to keep this a safe community event and in line with being a licenced premises with the Carnival Bar.
Please do listen to any requests made by security or Carnival volunteers should they need to be made, such as clearing areas for a performance to take place or for safety of access etc.
